Where to pre-order

  1. PlayStation Store — digital pre-orders for both editions, live since 25 June 2026.
  2. Microsoft Store / Xbox — digital pre-orders for both editions, same launch date.
  3. Physical retailers — participating retailers carry physical copies, though Rockstar has confirmed these ship as a code in a box rather than a game disc, so there's no functional difference from a digital purchase once installed.

There is no PC pre-order because no PC version has been announced. Don't pre-order through any third-party site that isn't a first-party storefront or a recognised retailer — Rockstar has not authorised unofficial reseller pre-orders.

Editions available

Standard Edition — £69.99 / $79.99 The base game, no bonus content.

Ultimate Edition — £89.99 / $99.99 Includes Standard Edition plus permanent, story-integrated bonus content:

  • Extra vehicles: a '95-style Grotti Cheetah, a Shitzu Squalo speedboat, and a '67-style Vapid Dominator Buggy.
  • Personalised weapons.
  • Exclusive apparel and tattoos for Jason and Lucia.
  • Access to two Ultimate-only in-game shops: Rideout Customs and Sara's Unisex Salon.

No Collector's Edition or physical Special Edition has been confirmed as of July 2026. Rockstar took a similar approach with GTA 5, announcing premium physical editions months after initial pre-orders opened, so one is possible but not guaranteed before launch.

Confirmed pre-order bonuses

Vintage Vice City Pack The only bonus available on both Standard and Ultimate editions. You must pre-order before 20 November 2026 to qualify. It includes:

  • A '55-style Vapid Stanier.
  • The Ocean Beach garage.
  • Vintage outfits for Jason and Lucia.

Free GTA+ membership Pre-ordering any digital edition through the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store includes one free month of GTA+. This currently covers, based on the existing GTA+ subscription in GTA Online:

  • A monthly GTA$500,000 deposit into your GTA Online character's account.
  • Access to special Shark Cards offering a 15% bonus on GTA$ versus standard purchases.
  • Rotating free and discounted vehicles in GTA Online.
  • A rotating library of other Rockstar and featured games.

Since GTA 6 is expected to launch as single-player only with no online mode confirmed at launch, this GTA+ bonus applies to your existing GTA Online account rather than a GTA 6 online mode.

Pre-load and launch-day timing

  • Pre-loading is confirmed to start 12 November 2026, a full week before release.
  • Launch is midnight local time on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
  • No PC pre-load applies, since no PC version has been announced.

How to decide what to pre-order

  1. Work out whether you actually want the Ultimate content — it's cosmetic and vehicle variety, not extra missions or map access, so it doesn't change how much of the game you get.
  2. Pre-order before 20 November 2026 regardless of edition if you want the Vintage Vice City Pack, since it disappears after that date.
  3. Buy digitally through PlayStation Store or Xbox/Microsoft Store specifically if you want the free GTA+ month; physical retailers may not include it.
  4. Hold off upgrading to Ultimate purely for a possible future Collector's Edition — none is confirmed, and pre-order bonuses tied to Ultimate haven't been shown to carry over to any later special edition.
  5. Don't pre-order a "PC edition" from any storefront — treat any such listing as unofficial or speculative, since no PC release has been announced.
